Palm Beach Gardens

Year Founded: 1959

Founded by John D. MacArthur, the city has winding streets without sidewalks and is named after flowers and trees. A divided roadway between hills of coral rock, accented with shrubs, flowers, towering palm trees and a pair of transplanted banyan trees (one 60-feet tall, weighing about 75 tons) began the legacy of this beautiful garden city.
