A campaign commemorating Florida's diverse cities.
Brought to you by the Florida League of Cities.
Settlers of this community in the 1850s first chose Orange Home for a name. The postmaster, G.F. Hays, learned there was another Orange Home, so he chose Webster in honor of Daniel Webster. After construction of the Florida Southern Railroad in 1885, growth along the railroad began. A post office was established in 1886 and Webster’s first school was built approximately two years later.
